This was our second time at this hotel, The first time for a wedding and now the second time for New Year's Eve. Both times we had nice rooms, great service and great breakfast and dinner

Beautiful grounds and buildings and pool, and our room was comfortable and spacious. However, the indoors could use a renovation, and staffing and cleaning issues sort of stare you in the face. Breakfast was also somewhat disappointing, and it seemed like it was only one or two employees trying to do everything. Sign of the times I suppose, but then other hotels we stayed at on this trip didn't have these issues to this degree. They could use an angel investor or new management or something... I wanted to love it, like I do most places. But I can't quite recommend. The whole place sort of reminded me of the archetypal aging movie star who now watches her own movies in a luxurious dark theater by herself.

My wife and I stayed just for one night on a driving tour. Whilst the rooms and décor are possibly a little dated the hotel exuded a delightful quirky charm. Our dinner was very good indeed, enhanced by the engaging and friendly Irish restaurant manager (whose name I'm embarrassed not to remember), who guided us through a fabulous selection of German wines by the glass. Definitely worth a visit.

The reastaurant deserves a visit even if you are not a hotel guest there. Seasonal menus, creative dishes and a very friendly, welcoming staff awaits there.

A beautiful Villa but in need of updating. It must have been wonderful in its day. Rooms were rather sparse and the hotel had little ambience. Staff were somewhat cold and distant. Needs a revamp.

I'm really sorry about this low rating but this place really missed the mark. You can see how they were a luxury property once but those days are long gone. They won't automatically service your rooms, there is black mold in and around the showers, you only get 1x set of towels for the pool, the hot tub is not hot, the pool massage jets are not working, the bathrobe has stains. The breakfast buffet was very sad. It was empty and everything pre portioned. No butter, no margerine, no eggs, coffe took forever, no cucumbers or tomatoes, no fruits.. the list goes on. The server the night before was incredibly arrogant and snooty. When I mentioned the cleanliness and service concern in the morning, I only got a shrug of the shoulders and sorry this morning was really busy. Overall I can't recommend this place. It's a wanna be. Definitely not worth the price it charges.

Upon arrival I already new we were going to have a great stay here. The reception staff were exceptional and made us feel right at home. After a long day on the road with a small baby we were exhausted and they moved the car for us to the parking garage. The room was spacious and clean with great toiletries from molten brown. The could provide a crib for our daughter. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and again they were very accommodating with children. The steak I ordered was cooked perfectly and the creme brûlée was also great, sometimes the top tends to be burnt and bitter but not here. Only comment I would say is that the waiter seemed a bit rushed/stressed.
